On Goldeck, perfectly groomed slopes and Carinthia’s most modern lift facilities await you in winter, offering unlimited skiing enjoyment. With the S1—the longest black run in the Alps—even true experts get their money’s worth. For off-piste adventures, a variety of exciting freeride areas beckon.
The youngest visitors will find an ideal practice area in the Kinderland, while those looking to relax can choose from eight cozy places to stop for refreshments. Additional variety is provided by the ski touring training trail with avalanche transceiver park, idyllic snowshoe hikes, and—new this winter—a toboggan run and a cross-country ski trail.
Extra comfort is ensured with free Wi-Fi at three hotspots, a professional ski school, ski rental and service, as well as a modern ski depot.
The S1 is considered a real challenge for advanced skiers: a black, steep, and technically demanding run with a length of 8 kilometers and an impressive vertical drop of 1,605 meters. It leads from the Goldeck summit at 2,142 meters down to the valley at 537 meters.
The descent is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while the ascent is possible from 7:15 a.m. – a ticket is required. The special ski touring ticket (without the Goldeck cable car) is available for €13.50.

The Freeride Area Eggeralm also gives beginners the chance to experience the magic of powder snow up close – feel the freedom off the groomed slopes and enjoy the unforgettable sensation of untouched snow.
For true experts, the Freeride Area Steilhang offers a real highlight: a challenging terrain that promises both adrenaline and enjoyment. Important: This area is not connected to lift access – a true spirit of adventure is required here!

Directly next to the Goldeck cable car mountain station at 1,780 m, the 30,000 m² Kinderland awaits young explorers. Beginners and those returning to skiing glide down their first turns on magic carpets and two drag lifts, while non-skiers can watch their loved ones practicing or take a short walk around the shimmering reservoir lake.
The meeting point for everyone is the Seehütte Goldeck with its sun terrace – offering snacks, hot drinks, and plenty of space to warm up!

Goldeck is also a true paradise for ski tourers. Whether experts tackling the legendary S1, leisure tourers who choose the comfortable ascent with the Goldeck cable car and directly enter the touring area, or beginners taking their first steps on the ski touring course – at Goldeck everyone finds the perfect route and their personal ski touring experience.

From the Goldalm Mountain Dining restaurant down to the Goldeck cable car mountain station, an unforgettable tobogganing experience awaits you – perfect for families, friends, and anyone who wants to enjoy winter in a fun and playful way.
Those who don’t bring their own equipment can conveniently use the on-site toboggan rental and start having fun right away. Whether you prefer a fast-paced descent or a relaxed glide, the toboggan run at Goldeck guarantees pure winter enjoyment.
Completely new this winter season, a cross-country ski trail of around 700 meters awaits you directly at the Goldeck cable car mountain station, right next to the reservoir lake. Surrounded by clear mountain air and breathtaking panoramic views, you glide step by step through the snowy winter landscape.
Whether as a relaxing balance to other activities or simply to enjoy the silence of nature – the trail at Goldeck offers cross-country skiing fun for both beginners and leisure skiers.
Additional comfort is provided by the Seehütte Goldeck, where a practical changing facility is available.
